At the NRA convention Trump and the Republican candidates put

The very powerful National Rifle Association, the NRA, the national pro-gun association is holding its annual convention this weekend. Most declared or undeclared candidates for the Republican nomination came to declare their support for the cause of the right to own and bear arms.

They are all there. In person, or by video messages. Former Vice President Mike Pence, Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, former Ambassador Nikki Haley. But as usual, the one who holds the attention is the former president, and who intends to become it again, Donald Trump.

While nearly 150 mass shootings have taken place since the start of the year, the one that hit a school in Tennessee has sparked anger. Donald Trump knows it and he does not forget to express his emotion. To better propose his solution: a tax credit to put armed guards in each school and to arm the teachers who want it.

For about $12 billion, we can fund armed security guards at the entrance to every school in America and also arm every volunteer teacher. We want to arm some of these teachers. They will have to undergo extensive training, but they are already there. And they’ll do better than anybody we could put there. They love our children. They really love our children. If we can send $120 billion to Ukraine, then we can afford a tenth of that amount to protect American children and American schools. »

And Donald Trump to announce that he will ask Congress to remove all laws that make it difficult to protect schools. Exactly the opposite of what Joe Biden and the Democrats demand with every killing spree.
