(Finance) – Part on 1st of June from Vicenza, The art of change @ Gallerie d’Italiaa series of meetings edited by John we hunt in which words, music and new harmonies meet to build a new possible future and ignite a discussion on change. The journey will continue to the headquarters of Turin on 6 June, then reaching Naples on 13 September and ending in Milan on 14 September.

Michele CoppolaExecutive Director of Art, Culture and Historical Heritage of Intesa Sanpaolo and Director of the Gallerie d’Italia, declares: “What was done with a young and talented singer-songwriter between Milan, Naples, Turin and Vicenza, tells the lively and open identity of our four museum venues. The Gallerie d’Italia are places full of original projects, which also involve the aspirations of the younger generations and invite us to reflect on the future in a creative way and with different tools, from art to music, highlighting the social function of museums as agents of change in their own cities.”

On his latest album, Word, the Sicilian singer-songwriter has collaborated with personalities such as Patti Smith, Willem Dafoe and Liliana Segre. The artist constantly relates the world of music to that of art; he is artistic director of the cultural schedule of the Arnaldo Pomodoro Foundation and has just published the Manifesto of Change, published by Treccani, with a preface by Pope Francis, a volume in which sixty young dreamers design an evolving future, through a singular dialogue with twelve Masters: Arnaldo Pomodoro, Emilio Isgrò, Fabrizio Plessi, Ferdinando Scianna, Francesca Cataldi, Giulia Napoleone, Guido Strazza, Mario Ceroli, Maurizio Cattelan, Michelangelo Pistoletto, Mimmo Jodice and Mimmo Paladino.

Coinciding with the four events, the Wall of Change, itinerant art installation conceived by Giovanni Caccamo himself, glue of different cultures, religions and identities united by love for life and an evolutionary vision of the future in sharing and harmony. The installation consists of a wall of words projected onto a white LED wall. By connecting to the prepared site, everyone can type their own word for change which will be instantly displayed on the screen.

“I always wonder how my art can turn into light for me and for others, which new and exciting journey can make me fall in love with life even more. I have been trying for some time to follow the precious coordinates received from my Master, Frank beat. On a clear spring afternoon, sitting on the sofa in his library in Milo, after several minutes of silence, he said to me: ‘You will only have one way to remain a free man and artist: always remember to unhinge your art from any end, let it simply be the mirror of who you are. Don’t ask yourself what you should do or how you should be in order to top the charts, be more successful, or sell more records; it would be a golden cage! Instead, try to listen to yourself deeply and understand what can make your heart beat and get emotional in an authentic way. Along the way, you will have encounters and experiences from which your new artistic shoots will arise spontaneously. Let them flourish and don’t worry about the rest!'”.
