At the Assises du journalisme de Tunis they tell Brut

From March 17 to 19, the International Conference on Journalism was held in Tunis. The media workshop was there and held out her microphone to Syrine Attia from Brut Tunisie and Caroline Hayek from the Lebanese daily The Orient-The Day.

For three days, 700 people, mostly journalists, from around thirty countries, took part in the second edition of the International Journalism Conference of Tunis, the theme of which was “The urgency of journalism”. During debates and workshops, they discussed editorial practices, economic models but also the threats to journalism.

  • Caroline Hayeksenior reporter for the French-speaking Lebanese daily The Orient-The Day. She made her newspaper proud by winning the Albert-Londres prize in 2021 and recounts the challenges of her title in a Lebanon still in crisis.
