At least 10 people have been killed in heavy rains in China’s Hunan province, state media reported.
The downpour, which began on June 1, has forced nearly 286,000 people to evacuate and more than 2,700 homes have been destroyed, according to the state-run New China News Agency.
The rain has affected almost the entire province and several weather stations have reported precipitation at historic levels.
