The 200-second review shows that at least eleven men killed themselves after being confronted by the pedophile hunting site Dumpen.

    – He lost his job, house and family and everything, so there was no other way out for him. You can’t sentence someone to death for this, says a relative.

“Sorry that everything I did went wrong. Loved everyone around me. Never touched a child.”

So writes one of the men in a farewell letter to his relatives.

He is one of at least eleven men who since 2022 have taken their own lives after being confronted by Dumpen.

200 seconds have spoken to the relatives of all the men. The relatives have confirmed that it is suicide.

In some cases, the men have committed suicide immediately after the confrontation and have never been published on Dumpen.

But in the cases where the men have taken their own lives after publication, the material about them remains at Dumpen. Several relatives say that they have appealed to Dumpen’s responsible publisher Sara Nilsson and asked her to remove films, pictures and chats, but she has refused.

    “Published when they are stable”

Sara Nilsson has told 200 seconds that she assesses the men’s suicide risk by talking to them on the phone. If she believes there is a risk of suicide, she says to wait until the man is “stable enough to handle a publication”:

200 seconds has seen the last phone call between Sara Nilsson and one of the men who committed suicide.

Nothing in the roughly 20-minute long conversation indicates that Nilsson is making any suicidal assessment.

Instead, she informs the man that Dumpen told about what he did to people close to him.

    – One thing that is a bit boring is that I have actually checked with your neighbors. And they thought it was terribly nasty, says Sara Nilsson.

Nilsson says she sends a text message when the man is published on Dumpen.

A couple of days later he takes his own life.

    Hate and mockery online

The eleven men leave behind eleven children and eight grandchildren.

    – The children wonder where their father has gone and how to explain to a child. We have had hell, says a relative.

    – It went quickly with hate on social media and his job and everything. When you get hung up like this, where do you go?

    – They called around to co-workers and others he came into contact with through his job. He received tons of emails from people who wrote that they wanted nothing to do with him.

Several relatives testify that they were subjected to threats and mockery.

    – They write mean things about me online, says a mother whose adult son killed himself.

    – Random people who read on Flashback called for several weeks, says another relative.

A family member says that she thinks it is good that Dumpen exposed the relative and that it was good that he killed himself. Other relatives express their horror at Dumpen’s methods.

    – There is no defense for what he did. But it is so terrible that Dumpen is allowed to do this. It should be banned.

    – You cannot sentence someone to death for this. It is the legal system that must judge.

THIS IS THE WAY YOU THINK FOR THERE, we examine the dump

  • Dumpen’s operations raise important questions about legal certainty, integrity and the self-proclaimed administration of justice. The review reveals potentially problematic practices that in some cases led to the designated perpetrators taking their own lives.
  • The review is based on documents from authorities such as the Swedish Tax Agency as well as interviews with police and prosecutors. We have also spoken to a large number of former “fishermen”, who allowed themselves to be interviewed on the promise of anonymity.
  • The information the sources share is deemed to be of great public interest and should be published, even if they cannot or dare not appear openly. The sources confirm each other’s stories, which strengthens credibility. Aftonbladet knows the identity of those interviewed.
  • Dumpen has had to answer to all charges.
  • Aftonbladet has previously revealed that Dumpen’s business has been linked to the scam company Impulskollen, which has pressured men and their relatives for large sums of money in exchange for avoiding hanging.
