At least eight killed by car bombs in northern Syria

At least eight people, including three children, have been killed by two car bombs in northern Syria.

One bomb exploded in a car workshop in Shawa, a village near the Turkish border. Five civilians were killed and ten others injured, the London-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR) said.

The second car bomb killed three soldiers of the Kurdish-dominated SDF alliance in the city of Manbij, according to SOHR.

Bombings and fighting between armed groups are common in areas of northern Syria controlled by Turkey and its allies. So far, no one has claimed responsibility for the crime.
