At least 80 people are said to have been killed and around 700 injured in an Israeli attack on people waiting for emergency aid.
Since Israel declared war on Hamas, more than 30,000 people have been killed in Gaza, according to the health authorities in the Hamas-controlled area.
On Thursday, Israel shelled people waiting for humanitarian aid in Gaza City, according to al-Shifa hospital.

Pictures from the scene, taken by Al Jazeera, show several bodies and injured people arriving in al-Shifa.
al-Shifa no longer has the ability to handle the large number of victims arriving at the hospital, said ambulance director Faris Afana to the media company.
Ambulances are also having trouble getting to the area because the streets are “totally destroyed,” according to Al-Jazeera’s journalist on the scene.
Warns of famine
Israel is “verifying” reports of the incident, the country’s army said.
Aid organizations warn of a looming famine in the northern parts of Gaza. Children have died from malnutrition, dehydration and widespread starvation at al-Shifa hospital, according to health authorities.
Spokesman Ashraf al-Qudra is calling for “immediate action” from international organizations to prevent more similar deaths.
According to Samantha Power, head of the US aid agency Usaid, Israel needs to open more border crossings in order to greatly increase humanitarian aid.
