At least 6,000 Ukrainian children are said to have been taken to indoctrination camps in Russia or to the Russian-occupied Crimean peninsula since the invasion of Ukraine began almost a year ago. This is shown by a new report from the American Yale University.

So far, 43 camps have been successfully identified.

It is about orphans but also children in families who have been taken to the camps under false pretenses of evacuation.

The primary purpose of the camps, according to the Yale report, is political re-education.

– Putin is trying to rob Ukraine of its future by taking the country’s children, says Ned Price, spokesperson for the US State Department

The movement of children takes place through a large-scale systematic network, according to the report. Russia may also have committed genocide in that the purpose of the deportations and camps was to change or eliminate Ukraine’s national identity.
