In the Netherlands, at least 45 people are suspected of involvement in the violence in Amsterdam, the police said on Sunday.
In addition, at least nine people have been arrested, the police said.
The arrests are related to the violence that broke out in Amsterdam during a soccer match on November 7.
Police Chief of the Netherlands Janny Knol says in the press release that due to the seriousness of the crimes and the societal significance of the violence, a special investigation team has been established to investigate the case.
– The Dutch police investigate crimes that were committed before, during and after the match, Knol states in the press release.
The police also say that they have obtained a lot of footage from last week’s events.
The number of suspects is expected to increase.
Violence erupted in Amsterdam last Thursday when Israeli soccer team Maccabi Tel Aviv played against local team Ajax.
The Israelis who came to Amsterdam had to after the match subject to multiple attacks. At least some of the attackers were pro-Palestine activists. More than 60 people were arrested. Five people were injured.
Dutch and Israeli authorities strongly condemned the attacks, describing them as anti-Semitic.
In hindsight, it turned out that some of the fans from Israel had, among other things, shouted slogans against Arabs during the match.
