At least 40 killed in Israeli strikes on Lebanon

Late on Friday, airstrikes on the coastal city of Tires led to the death of at least seven people, according to the Lebanese Ministry of Health. According to Reuters, Israel did not declare evacuations in the area before the attacks.

At least 13 people were killed in attacks on nearby towns on Saturday. According to the Ministry of Health, among the dead were rescue groups connected to the extremist organization Hezbollah and its allies.

In addition, at least 20 people were killed in the attacks carried out in the Baalbek area in the eastern parts of Lebanon. According to the Israeli military, it carried out strikes against Hezbollah targets in both the Baalbek and Tire regions.

According to the Lebanese Ministry of Health, more than 3,100 people have been killed and nearly 14,000 wounded in attacks carried out by Israel in the past year.
