On the street in Leerdam it is a celebration of recognition. One lady has reserved a set for “special days”. That used to be a thing, she says, but she likes to continue that tradition. Or think of another Leerdam resident who likes to fill the entire table during Christmas. “You still want to make it a party, don’t you? I don’t know, it feels less festive without special things on the table.”
