The big gaming event CAGGTUS Leipzig starts in April 2023. You can find out everything that is offered to you in the area of entertainment and streaming here.
CAGGTUS? – What is that supposed to be? When you read the term “CACTUS”, the first thing that comes to mind are green, knobbly desert plants that cause painful stings if touched improperly. But in truth it is not (only) about paying homage to cacti, but about proper gaming.
From April 14th to 16th, 2023, a gaming event will be held at the Leipzig Trade Fair by the community for the community. At CAGGTUS you will find, among other things, the largest German LAN party, an entertainment area and a stream area where well-known streamers cavort.
The name still puzzles me: In the end it’s all about cacti. Because at previous events of this kind, numerous such plants were set up. This developed into a kind of running gag and the cacti into mascots. Therefore it was decided to give the new event the name CAGGTUS, the “GG” stands for “Good Game”.

In addition to the largest German LAN party and tournaments, the CAGGTUS offers you a huge entertainment area and a stream area. You can find out what awaits you there in the following paragraphs.
The entertainment area
In the entertainment area of the CAGGTUS, the bear tap-dance, because this is where many of the cool events take place. On the one hand, this is due to the big stage, where you can experience all kinds of shows. So look forward to an entertaining program all about gaming.
Is there cosplay? Among the shows is a major cosplay competition where the best costume is chosen. There are prizes in the categories “Best in Show”, “Cleanest Work” and “Most Elaborate Cosplay”.
By the way, if you want to appear as a cosplayer at CAGGTUS yourself, you have until March 31, 2023 to register.
Here’s something to gamble on: But if you prefer to gamble, there are plenty of opportunities to do so in the entertainment area. Numerous gaming stations are available where you can try out all kinds of games.
There’s a special treat from developer Giants Software. They have reserved a whopping 400 m² for themselves and are presenting their hit farming simulator there. There you can gamble the farmer’s fun directly and even marvel at a real tractor.
Those who prefer a hearty competition still have the opportunity to register for the big Smash Contest Circuit Finale. The final and the Last Chance Qualifier bracket includes over 128 participants from Germany, Austria and Switzerland. The cult Nintendo game Super Smash Bros. Ultimate is played. There is also something to win and the prize pool is a whopping 3,000 euros.

Wasn’t there something with CaseMods? So there’s cosplay, stage shows and a lot to gamble with. But that’s not all: The International German Casemod Championship (DCMM) is also celebrating its 20th anniversary at the CAGGTUS. The nation’s most creative and gifted hobbyists and tinkerers present their wacky creations here and compete in front of a specialist jury for prestigious prizes in seven categories.
If you want to stock up on Casemod equipment yourself, you will certainly find what you are looking for in the CAGGTUS Store from CaseKing. He has reserved an impressive 200 m² of exhibition space where you can stock up on hardware to your heart’s content.
Those who prefer to buy cool gaming merch will also find what they are looking for at the numerous stands. The CAGGTUS offers something for every taste.
Is that all? Not at all, because there is still the FPV Arena. There, the lines between gaming and reality become blurred when you drive car races with VR glasses, in which the cams are installed on small model vehicles. This offers a particularly immersive experience that lets you fully immerse yourself in the spectacle.

The stream area
The Entertainment Area also offers another feature: the Stream Area! There, well-known content creators cavort and stream their live program directly from the CAGGTUS. Talents invited include: Mowky, Vlesk, BloodyNyuu Rumathra, Lumenti, RedPanda, Maty, Razzortainment and Sana.
The Stream Area offers two studios. One is all about gaming and you can follow the streamers’ shows live and cheer on their games. In the other studio the motto is “Just Chatting”. There you will meet streamers who entertain their audience in other ways.
This also includes a special quiz show. The legendary Brainlag quiz by and with Vlesk will take place as a live event for the first time at CAGGTUS. So look forward to crazy puzzle fun with the famous streamer.
