Asylum request rejected! Momika, who made ugly attacks on the Holy Quran, will be deported from Norway

Sweden deported Momika the provocateur of burning the Holy Quran

Provocateur Salwan Momika’s asylum request to Norway, whose decision to deport her from Sweden was approved by the Swedish Immigration Appeals Court on March 27, was rejected.

In the statement made by the Norwegian Immigration Office, it was stated that Momika’s asylum was not accepted on March 28, so she was detained for the purpose of deportation.

In the statement, it was stated that it was decided to return Momika to Sweden, where she first sought asylum, in accordance with the Dublin Asylum Agreement.

Jesper Tengroth, Director of the Swedish Immigration Office, said in a statement to the Expressen newspaper that they accepted Norway’s decision regarding Momika and that Momika would be handed over to Sweden in accordance with the Dublin Asylum Agreement.

RESIDENCE AND WORK PERMIT WAS NOT EXTENDED IN SWEDEN

The Swedish Immigration Appeals Court announced on March 27 that it approved the Immigration Court’s deportation decision for Momika.

Momika, on the other hand, said that she left Sweden and went to Norway after the decision of the Immigration Appeals Court and that she would seek asylum in Norway.

The Swedish Immigration Office stated in October 2023 that Momika had a work and residence permit until April 16, 2024, and that she would be deported after this date. Momika appealed the decision and took the case to the Immigration Court.

The Immigration Court also announced that Momika had provided incorrect information in her residence permit application and therefore approved the Immigration Office’s deportation decision. Momika later appealed the decision to the Court of Appeal.

PROVOCATIONS AGAINST THE QURAN

Salwan Momika set the Holy Quran on fire under police protection in front of the Stockholm Mosque on June 28, 2023, which coincided with the first day of Eid al-Adha in the capital Stockholm.

Momika later burned the Quran several times and trampled the Iraqi flag under police protection in front of the Iraqi Embassy in Stockholm and the Swedish Parliament. Momika burned the Quran again in front of the Stockholm Mosque on August 24.

Protests were organized because Momika burned the Quran under police protection in Malmö on September 3, 2023, and 15 people who tried to prevent her were detained.

Momika last held a support rally for Israel in the center of Stockholm on October 21, 2023, and burned the Quran and the Palestinian flag.

Following Momika’s actions, the Danish Parliament passed the bill on December 7, 2023, making it illegal to burn holy books and attack these books. (AA)This content was published by Metin Yamaner
