Asylum immigration costs SEK 93 billion a year, according to the Sweden Democrats’ own calculations.

The party is based on a study from 2009 by the Expert Group for Studies in Public Finance.

The author, Jan Ekberg, makes a forecast for the cost of the entire immigrant population in 2007-2050. SD has then followed up the outcome for the first 15 years, 2007-2021, and then recalculated Ekberg’s results based on actual immigration.

The result according to their calculations will then be a net tax cost for the immigrant population of SEK 1,397 billion, which is SEK 93 billion on average per year.

– The government says that we are down to the mini level when it comes to asylum immigration. Then you lie to the Swedish people, says Jimmie Åkesson.

Åkesson says that political agreements on immigration are a requirement to get the party’s support when forming a government.

– It should not be attractive to come to Sweden if you are not willing to adapt and contribute to society.
