It was last autumn that Astrid was out on an evening walk with her dog Atlas on the outskirts of Umeå. Then she suddenly heard a scream from inside the forest.
– Then I dropped everything and ran towards the scene. Then at the same time as when I scream and shout, Atlas also barks and he barks quite strongly. He did what he had to do and that was to scare the people, says Astrid Neyman.
When Astrid and Atlas ran towards the forest, two guys came running and drove off on electric scooters. Then a third guy came who had blood on his face and looked scared. Astrid stayed with him until the police arrived. The effort has been praised by the police.
– That’s when I realized “God, what have I done”, that’s when the police also said “you should be very proud that you could have saved a person tonight”, says Astrid.
