At the end of 2024, Blizzard opened anniversary server for WoW Classic, where everything was set again at the beginning. Now these servers reach a milestone – and people stop. The reason behind it could be a frowned upon cheating, some users think.
Blizzard has opened new server for WoW Classic for the 20th anniversary of WoW. These go through the cycle of the game again, starting with the 2004 release to a number of raids to The Burning Crusade in the course of 2025.
Now, about a quarter of a year after opening the server, many players suddenly report independently that a number of acquaintances pause from their guilds or anywhere else. This happens again and again, but that this is exactly now bundled is strange.
That is why the time is strange: On March 20, phase 3 was heralded for the anniversary servers. Among other things, this brings classes for level 50 and above all one of the most popular raids of all time, the Pechschwingenhort.
Such an update is actually a reason to look back into the game and not to disappear. Nevertheless, this is exactly what happens in many places. Again and again there are reports from people who take a “break” – exactly now.

The users suspect that the people who are no longer playing no real break. Or at least not voluntarily. You think: there is a temporary spell of Blizzard behind it, who is just embarrassing.
WoW Classic has a problem with bots, which the developers continuously fight, but the players keep standing out. This is accompanied by absurd prices for reagents and consumption objects, some of which are a prerequisite for raids.
The solution of many players is now to buy gold in the game for real money, the “Real Money Trading”, in short: RMT. However, this is strictly forbidden by Blizzard and is punished with a ban. To say that you take a break, but are just embarrassing:

However, others believe that a spell does not have to be the reason for a “break”. The high prices for raid consumables, i.e. potions, elixirs and the like, are simply a reason for many.
To have to farm gold, just to go raids, are not fun. Pausing and coming back with The Burning Crusade was the plan of some players.
There is also an exodus of a small, more well-known group on the hardcore servers: the guild of onlyfangs.
