(Finance) – The new “Cashback with license plate” service is active from today, valid on the network managed by Motorways for Italy and developed by the start-up of the ASPI Group Free To X. The service makes reimbursement simpler and more automatic even for users who pay the toll with cards or cash, as is already the case for customers equipped with electronic toll: it will be sufficient to register on the Free To X app, entering your personal data and the vehicle license plate – which will be verified through the database of the Civil Motorization – to automatically receive the reimbursements accrued due to delays due to maintenance and modernization sites on the motorway network.
Once registered, the app will notify i refunds to which you are entitled and therefore it will not be necessary to make any further requests. All thanks to an innovative system of intelligence artificial and a complex algorithm calculation necessary to define the reimbursements due, in addition to the 2 thousand cameras that Autostrade per l’Italia has installed at all entry and exit toll booths on its network.
Thanks to the recognition of the license plate, the receipt of the journey (the so-called receipt) will no longer be required for travel on the network
Aspi, even if it is still advisable to collect it at the toll booth: keeping it as a back-up may in fact be useful in the event of any anomaly in the reading of the plate or, above all, in the event that the journey takes place only partially on the Aspi network, that is, involving other motorway concessionaires other than Autostrade per l’Italia, on whose networks cashback is not active. To make reimbursements even more accessible to Free To X customers and expand the beneficiaries of reimbursements for the inconvenience caused by the construction sites envisaged under the ASPI modernization plan, from 1 May the cashback will be recognized starting from 10 minutes of delay (compared to the current 15) due to construction sitesfor trips up to 99 Km.
“The plan worth over 21 billion euros for the modernization of the Autostrade per l’Italia network – explains the CEO of Aspi Roberto Tomasi – it is an unprecedented challenge: people, skills and cutting-edge technological solutions are in the field every day on our roads to ensure increasingly sustainable mobility. These efforts involve some inconveniences that we realize: this is why we try to offer refreshment and to meet the needs of our users. The “cashback targa” initiative is just the latest step in a process aimed at improving the travel experience: for us it is a fundamental project in the relationship with travelers, unique in Italy and in Europe “.
For commuter travelers or for trucking companies they are almost all equipped with Telepass or other electronic toll systems, the service
