Asked colleague for help moving – robbed him at gunpoint in the basement

At the beginning of July, a 24-year-old man asked his colleague for help moving some boxes at his home in Norrköping. But when they got down to the basement, the man pulled out what appeared to be a gun, reports NT.

He then forced the colleague to hand him 5,000 kroner. Right after, the man threatened that he knew where the colleague lived.

But the 24-year-old was also remorseful. He told the colleague that he was having financial problems, and said that the colleague would get his money back two weeks later.

“Damn scared”

The colleague says in the police interrogation that he was “damn scared” during the robbery, which he then thought took place with a real gun, but which later turned out to be an air gun.

– He felt quite desperate. Yes, he could have shot me. If he could rob me, he might as well shoot.

Reported to the police

Despite promises that the money would be returned, the colleague reported the incident to the police immediately.

The 24-year-old was arrested shortly afterwards and the police found an air pistol with DNA traces under his window. There were also pictures of the air gun in the man’s phone.

Now the 24-year-old man is charged with aggravated robbery and assault in court. He has denied both crimes, but has admitted robbery of the ordinary degree during police questioning.
