Trump will receive his sentence on Friday
The United States Supreme Court refuses to stop the sentencing of President-elect Donald Trump in the bribery case against porn actress Stormy Daniels.
HD is rejecting a request from Trump’s lawyers filed Thursday night local time to postpone the whole thing in the first place. This means that the penalty, the punishment, for Trump will be announced on Friday.
The judge in the case, Juan Merchan, has already indirectly made it clear that there will be no jail time or fines for Trump, who was found guilty on all 34 charges in the case. Instead, there may be a question of a remission of the penalty, that is to say that the penalty will not be carried out.
