Hong Kong’s stock market remained on the plus side in morning trade, with the Hang Seng index up a third of a percent just after 11 a.m. local time.
The Shanghai Composite Index has also moved north of the zero mark, with a marginal gain of 0.1 percent at the same time. Shenzhen’s equivalent is up 0.7 percent.
Taiwan’s weighted index is up half a percent after just over three hours of trading, while the Seoul Stock Exchange’s Kospi index is up 0.6 percent at lunchtime.
The Tokyo Stock Exchange is closed due to a public holiday.
