MMORPG hope Ashes of Creation presents 30 minutes of new gameplay and one of the biggest MMORPGs of the year got its October update – with surprisingly little content. All the news of the week summarized in the MeinMMO weekly review.

The highlights of the week:

The excitement of the week: Patch 10.0 was due in WoW and was not without problems. The release was postponed by a few hours and the MMORPG stuttered for many players after the update.

The discussion of the week: Solo content in MMORPGs is one thing. But are they saving the genre now, or are they killing it for good? Our author Anny has taken on this question.

Just last week, New World brought the biggest update yet with Brimstone Sands:

That’s what happened with the MMORPGs in development:

  • Scars of Honor is very reminiscent of World of Warcraft. There is currently an alpha running there that is actually kept secret. But we were still allowed to share some pictures with you exclusively.
  • The MMORPG Frozen Flame is starting a beta this weekend and is set to hit Early Access soon (via massivelyop).
  • With no fixed date yet, the PvE MMORPG Pantheon: Rise of the Fallen has also announced some play tests for November (via massivelyop).
  • Former employees of Mythic and BioWare start the new studio Loric Games and want to focus on survival MMOs with a lot of story (via mmorpg.com).
  • Jeff Strain, co-founder of ArenaNet, the studio behind Guild Wars 2, has also founded a new games company. It goes by the name of Crop Circle Games and is said to have already received a $25 million investment. What they are currently working on, they do not reveal (via mmorpg.com).
  • We have also prepared a list of all MMOs that are still to be released in 2022 and have already been released this week for you.
  • That was the MMORPG news of the week at a glance. What is your very own highlight? Did you experience something interesting or exciting this week that you would like to share? Or have we perhaps forgotten something important? Write it to us in the comments here at MeinMMO.

Our MMORPG author Mark Sellner was disappointed this week, who really wanted to write something good about the new action MMORPG Dekaron G, but just can’t.
