ASAP ROCKY. Two weeks after her arrest, rapper and Rihanna’s sidekick, A$AP Rocky, released the video for “DMB,” her new song.

A$AP Rocky arrested in shooting case

Released on bail. After being arrested by the police on Wednesday April 20, 2022, rapper A$AP Rocky finally returned home a few days later, without however being out of the woods. According to several American media, the rapper had been arrested for “assault with a deadly weapon” at Los Angeles International Airport, while returning from Barbados with his girlfriend, singer Rihanna, pregnant with their first child. “Rakim Mayers, better known as A$AP Rocky, was arrested Wednesday at Los Angeles International Airport in connection with a November 2021 shooting, according to multiple law enforcement sources familiar with the matter,” the US site reported. According to the same source, A$AP Rocky is the subject of an investigation opened by the Los Angeles police, for having shot a man on the evening of November 6, 2021. The alleged victim claims, still according to NBC, which site the report of police, that the rapper allegedly “shot him three to four times.” In a statement posted on social media, the Los Angeles police confirmed the information, explaining that this November evening, an argument had escalated and “resulted in the suspect firing a handgun at the victim”, who did not was only slightly injured.

A$AP Rocky’s lawyer confirmed his arrest to the media. The rapper was released later that evening on $550,000 bail. Rihanna’s companion was returning by private jet from Barbados, where the singer is from, and where the couple had to endure rumors of deception and separation, since denied.
