(Finance) – The Board of Directors of AS Roma has approved the Consolidated Half-Year Financial Report at 31 December 2021, relating to the operating performance of the first half of the financial year 2021-22. The period ended with one group loss of 113.7 million euros, compared to the loss of 74.8 million euros in the first half of the previous year. The football club explains that some costs and revenues related to the disputes of the matches of the 2019/20 season have found their economic competence in the 2020/21 financial year, and in the semester ended 31 December 2020 revenues of 29.6 million euros are included. and operating costs of 9.8 million euros related to the dispute of the last matches between Serie A and Europa League after 30 June 2020, accounted for on an accrual basis in the previous semester.

The Total revenues it settled at 82.3 million euros, against 98.7 million euros in the same period last year. Revenues from races, equal to 18.3 million euros (7.4 million euros at 31 December 2020), increased by 10.9 million euros mainly due to the limited impact of the restrictive measures to combat the pandemic. Revenues from television rights of the Serie A championship and the Italian Cup are equal to 32.4 million euros (52.7 million euros at 31 December 2020). Participation in the UEFA Europa Conference League 2021/22 generated a total of 11.9 million euros in revenues, compared with 15.3 million euros at 31 December 2020.
