As of today, Pokémon GO vibrates more – this is how you exhibit “haptics”.

There is a new feature in Pokémon GO. If you don’t like it, you can turn it off again.

What is this function? If you now start Pokémon GO version 0.298.1, you will suddenly notice increased vibration on supported smartphones. There is a haptic pulse during various actions in the game, such as:

  • When tapping the ball
  • Whenever the ball wobbles when caught
  • When you charge charge attacks in PvP
  • According to the current status, this function is now activated by default when you play Pokémon GO. But if you don’t want to use it, for example to save battery life, you can deactivate it again.

How do I turn this off? All you have to do is go to the “Settings” of Pokémon GO. There you will find the new “Haptics” switch right at the top in the first tab under “Vibrate”.

If you deactivate the switch there, the haptic feature is also turned off again.

Other interesting settings: In general, you can activate or deactivate a few exciting functions in Pokémon GO in the settings.
