Last year a dream came true for fans of the grindhouse duo of Quentin Tarantino and Robert Rodriguez. After Hostel director Eli Roth shot Thanksgiving, one of the bloody, macabre fake trailers for the Bahnhofkino homage, his feature-length version of it was released 16 years later.
The long version of Thanksgiving was so successful in 2023 that Sony commissioned a second part. Now Roth has more information about this year’s Thanksgiving celebration in the USA his plans for part 2 spoken.
Eli Roth wants to fire on all cylinders for the horror sequel Thanksgiving 2 with a manageable budget
In a recent interview with IndieWire, Roth talked about remaking Thanksgiving 2 on a moderate budget:
We’re upping the ante, but we’re not going to do it with more money. This keeps it tight and lean and mean and forces us to make decisions. In the first part We did a lot of construction work that we don’t have to deal with now. You can just start right away.

For Thanksgiving, the director wants to concentrate entirely on violent slasher set pieces, for which he wants to give his all:
I’ve come up with things that will be challenging. And I want it to be a challenge to overcome. Because when I come up with the stuff that I think it is enables the best killsthen I’ll do it like I’ll never make a film again.
All that is known so far is that Nell Verlaque as Final Girl Jessica and Rick Hoffman as her father Thomas Wright are returning for Thanksgiving 2. Anyone who has seen the first part already knows what kind of cruel, crazy kills fans can expect again.
