If Ary Abittan is indicted, however, this does not mean that he is convicted or considered guilty (the presumption of innocence is still in force as long as he is not found guilty), but that there is “serious or concordant indications” which justify the opening of a judicial inquiry. According to The Parisian, incriminating material elements were presented to the actor during his police custody. The latter would have denied the facts in front of the investigators.
