Avalanche gave to Montreal Artturi Lehkonen a young Canadian defender Justin Barronin as well as the second round of booking.
Lehkonen, 26, who played in Montreal for the sixth time, has scored 13 + 16 = 29 in 58 matches this season. The Canadiens, who advanced to the NHL finals last year, have fallen among the weakest teams in the league this season.
The number one star striker in Colorado also plays in Colorado Mikko Rantanen.
On Sunday, the Lions Olympic gold watchman signed with Toronto Maple Leafs Harri Säteri does not even begin its NHL return from Canada.
Säteri had to pass the transfer list before joining the maple leaf shirts, but Arizona Coyotes managed to grab the Finnish watch from the list.
Säteri, 32, played in KHL’s Sibir Novosibirsk this season with 38.6 percent off. He left the club after Russia invaded Ukraine. Säteri has played in the NHL in nine Florida Panthers matches in the 2017-18 season.
The NHL transfer limit expired on Monday at 21:00 Finnish time.
