Fish that currently swim in the Utrecht canals are pike, bream and oride. They enter the city via the Vecht and the Krommerijn. “People who have looked at the fish doorbell also see that all kinds of fish enter the system through the Weerdsluis. But in the urban system we try to give everything space, reed collars where it is possible and reefs where it is not possible. We want it so much possibly stimulate: it’s good but it could be better.”
