One of his former colleagues at the Opera, Ratmansky, a former principal dancer in kyiv and former artistic director of the Moscow Bolshoi Ballet, is now an artist-in-residence at the American Ballet Theater in New York and mourned his passing. “He was a beautiful dancer loved by his peers. The loss of him is an unbearable pain“, he expressed in statements to the aforementioned media.
