Maarssen – Art is often used as an incentive to think about something. About yourself, life, the climate, make it up. More and more often the story behind the art is of greater importance than the art object itself. Ceramist Hansje Aelvoet from Maarssen does not follow this trend. “No, I don’t want that, it has to do something aesthetically for me, it has to look good, have a nice finish, that’s important to me. I don’t necessarily have to say anything with it.”
