– Arsi’s leg has gone to shit.

That sentence has been remembered by many from last spring’s Planica World Cup skiing. Arsi Ruuskanen ran into a billboard that was in the wrong place at the time and was badly injured.

In the early season, the junior world champion fell ill and has only returned to international competitions in Trondheim. In Norway, Ruuskanen still remembered the dramatic events of the spring and showed Urheilu how he came across his commercials. See the situation in the video of the main picture.

Ruuskanen suffered tendon damage to his left side thigh muscle from the collision. However, the situation had the potential for much worse. Fortunately, Ruuskanen was able to dodge and did not hit the fence directly.

– If I hadn’t managed to get out in time, I would have run into it directly. You know what would have happened. It would probably have been quite a rush to get to the hospital, Ruuskanen stated.

Ruuskanen is known as quite an endurance machine, but has not yet managed to show his full potential in adult competitions. He has high goals.

– I want to succeed in this job. A hundred pros will be invested in this and we’ll see what it’s enough for.

There was still no result in Trondheim, as Ruuskanen was 40th in the combined race and 34th in the 10 km traditional race.

– Tasuri is not yet sufficient for this level. I’ll probably have to go to the gym next, Ruuskanen laughed.
