Two goals within six minutes sealed the victory.
Bukayo Saka splashed 1-0 into the roof of the net in the 40th minute and in added time, Saka played Gabriel Martinelli who scored the second after the visitors’ Idrissa Gueye dribbled the ball and was disarmed by the 1-0 goalscorer.
The second half was pure defilement for a superior Arsenal where Martin Ødegaard scored 3–0 before Martinelli became a two-goal scorer.
When the teams met at Goodison Park in early February, Everton won resoundingly in new manager Sean Dyche’s first game since replacing sacked Frank Lampard.
Now Dyche can state that his team is still in the relegation zone.
Liverpool have had a tough league season, but managed to beat Wolverhampton 2-0 at Anfield. Virgil van Dijk and Mohamed Salah scored the goals in the space of four minutes in the second half. Liverpool climbed to sixth and are six points clear of a Champions League spot.
