At least five people have been attacked by a man with a knife in Milan, Italian media reports.
The killing occurred in a shopping center south of Milan shortly after 6pm on Thursday when a man apparently went on the attack without a plan. According to media reports, he took a knife from a store and attacked with it.
A person, who worked in a grocery store, must according to La Repubblica have died of their injuries. At least two more are said to be seriously injured. According to the Italian media, one of them is Pablo Marí, a footballer in the Serie A club Monza and on loan from English Arsenal.
The perpetrator, who is in his 50s, was arrested at the scene. The motive is still unclear, but according to the police it is not an act of terrorism.
