Arsenal badly out – won despite red card

After a goalless first half, Norwegian captain Martin Ødegaard broke the deadlock when he was ice cold from the penalty spot.

Afterwards, last year’s second in the table ended up in the dock when fullback Takehiro Tomiyasu had to see the red card after 67 minutes of play. But Arsenal held on and took a heavy victory, 1-0 ended the match.

The victory is the team’s second in a row – in the opener last weekend they beat Nottingham Forest 2-1. Arsenal, like Brighton and Manchester City, have six points after two league rounds played.
