The police were called to the outskirts of Örnsköldsvik on Wednesday afternoon, after an alarm that a man had been in a verbal quarrel with one or more other people. There must have been a weapon, reports the police’s spokesperson Maria Linné.
The man is in custody and the police have carried out a house search and seized weapons, but do not provide further information about the incident at the moment. A preliminary investigation into serious illegal threats has been initiated.
According to witness information to Örnsköldsvik’s all kinds the man allegedly shouted at another person outside a grocery store, and later showed a weapon from the window of a nearby house. However, he should not have aimed at anyone with the weapon.
