A man in his 20s who was detained for the murder in a car tunnel in Stockholm receives SEK 300,000 in compensation from the state for the time he was deprived of his liberty, according to a decision by the Chancellor of Justice, reports SVT Sörmland.
At the beginning of January, it was announced that another man of the same age received SEK 280,000 in compensation in the same case, according to Eskilstuna-Kuriren.
The two men were detained from October 2022 to June 2023, and were released when the suspicions against them were dropped.
A now 19-year-old man was sentenced last autumn to ten years in prison for the murder of a 21-year-old man in a car traveling in the car tunnel. In December, the verdict was confirmed in the Court of Appeal, writes SVT Sörmland.
