Arrest warrant issued for fourth suspect in Sarnia home invasion

Man charged with impaired driving after pedestrians allegedly targeted

Sarnia police say another suspect has been identified in connection to a violent home invasion June 14 on Devine Street.

Police arrested three suspects June 20 and said Thursday in a news release a warrant had been issued for a fourth suspect.

It’s alleged four men broke into a home on Devine Street shortly after 9 pm June 14 and assaulted some of the occupants, according to police. One victim, who suffered head and face injuries, was treated and released from hospital.

Police said Thursday a warrant for the arrest of Devin Porter, 22, of Sarnia has been issued for the offenses of breaking and entering to commit an indictable offence, robbery, assault causing bodily harm and possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose.

Police are asking anyone with information about the incident, or Porter’s whereabouts, to contact police headquarters at 519-344-8861, or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.

Ronald Johnson, 34, Kyle Johnson, 34, and Tyson Borden, 33, of Sarnia already have been arrested and are charged with breaking and entering with intend to commit an indictable offence, robbery and assault causing bodily harm. Borden also is charged with possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose.

Police said previously the home invasion was targeted involving individuals known to each other and there was “no general concerns for public safety.”
