A court has approved an application for an arrest warrant against South Korea’s ousted President Yoon Suk-Yeol, Yonhap reports.

Yoon is being investigated because he declared a state of emergency in the country on December 3.

The joint investigation team – made up of police and the defense agency, among others – announced on Monday that it had applied for an arrest warrant because Yoon had on three occasions ignored summonses to appear for questioning.
