In Guinea, the opponent and leader of the political party MoDeL (Liberal Democratic Movement), Aliou Bah, spent his second night in police custody in the premises of the central directorate of judicial investigations of the national gendarmerie in Conakry. He is being prosecuted for insulting the head of state, an accusation that the opponent rejects outright.
According to his lawyer, Me Antoine Pépé Lamah, Aliou Bah risks spending the weekend in detention before being presented to a judge next Monday at the Kaloum first instance court.
