After deadly fighting broke out with Azerbaijan, Armenia’s prime minister calls world leaders and warns of an invasion attempt. According to Nikol Pashinyan, Azeri forces are trying to penetrate his country.
Pashinyan has spoken with, among others, the presidents of France and Russia, Emmanuel Macron and Vladimir Putin, as well as US Secretary of State Antony Blinken. In the talks, the prime minister “informed them of Azerbaijan’s aggressive actions against Armenia’s sovereign territory” and demanded “an adequate response from the international community,” his government said.
Azerbaijan has confirmed the fighting. An unknown number of casualties are said to have been claimed.
