It was around 10 o’clock that the police were called to the store. A masked person allegedly threatened staff with a weapon-like object. The person must have then taken money with them and then left the place.
– Since it was an armed robbery, we sent a large number of police officers to the scene, says Angelica Israelsson Silfver, who is a police spokesperson.
Blocked off the site
The crime scene was cordoned off and the police carried out a forensic investigation, they will also look at the surveillance video from the store. Dog handlers have also been looking for the man, but so far no one has been arrested.
– No one was physically injured, but I can imagine that the staff are quite shaken up after an event like this, says Angelica Israelsson Silfver.
