The shooting took place during the American football championship celebration, also known as the Super Bowl, in Kansas City, USA.
Kansas City police stated that many gunshots were heard as thousands of people gathered in the city square for the Super Bowl celebration dispersed.
THERE WAS A BIG PANIC
Stating that gunshots were heard in the western area of Union Station in the square, the police noted that at least 10 people who attended the celebration were shot and injured. Kansas City Fire Department announced that 1 person died in the incident.
When the gunshots were heard, it was seen that the participants of the celebration ran away from the area in panic, while the police took extensive security measures in the area. The police detained two armed suspects who were thought to have carried out the attack and launched an investigation. (AA)
