Armbrush and electric shock weapons found at Razzia at Gällivare entrepreneur

It was early on a December morning in 2023 that staff from the Swedish Crime Authority arrived at a property just outside central Gällivare.

When no one opened despite calling on the doorbell, the accompanying input police broke up the entrance door.

The idea was to secure evidence of the financial crimes for which the Gällivare entrepreneur is suspected. It was about securing documentation and finding any value assets.

Camouflage armbrush

But the Swedish Crime Authority also made a number of finds that they had not expected.

Free on a bench in a bedroom upstairs was a camouflage arm brush with mounted binoculars.

They also found four electric shock weapons and eight associated jars with defense spray found in a space behind a bench, as well as 19 containers with pepper spray found in a wardrobe.

The case was handed over to Northern Lapland’s police district because the armbrush and sprays are counted as a permit weapon. Three relatives of the entrepreneur were in the house when the strike was made. They are now suspected of weapons offenses.

Relatives have felt threatened

At the hearings held at the end of last year and the beginning of the current year, all three crimes deny. They claim that they have not noticed at all the armbrush, electric shock weapons or sprays.

In police interrogation, the relatives are asked if they have acquired weapons for them to have felt threatened. The police state in the interview that the person had previously made reports that have been closed.

However, this is denied.

– No, we have chosen to stay away so no one knew where we were, says Hen.

The trial will be held on April 2.
