Stenmark has started practicing pole vaulting as a pensioner and has an ambition to compete in the veteran WC. Now he has posted a video on Instagram from a training session where he once again shows off his admirable resilience, see the video below.

With a level jump, he climbs onto a plinth and stuns all the Swedes again. Even a certain one Armand Duplantis is really impressed by the slalom icon.

Ingemar Stenmark’s hope has spread throughout the country over the weekend and received over 40,000 likes. The Swedes can hardly believe their eyes after the 67-year-old’s feat.
“You are, as always, incredible, Ingemar,” writes a user.
“But dear one, that doesn’t work when you’re 60+,” writes another.
“You are my (and many others’) absolute biggest sports role model since I was a child and still today. Both for what you can do and who you are,” writes a third.
