Think it’s only been a year Ludvig Åberg turned pro. In the past year, he has surprised everyone and taken the entire golf world by storm.

The Swedish 24-year-old has impressed tremendously in his Ryder Cup debut and also in all the major debuts he has made in recent months. The most impressive thing is that Åberg has already climbed to a sensational fourth place in the world ranking and he is predicted to have a brilliant future.

Everyone is talking about the Swedish golf sensation and the other superstars feel threatened by the guy from Eslöv who will accomplish great things during his career. One of those who is really impressed by Åberg’s progress is the Swedish world star Armand Duplantis.
– Ah, but it’s so cool to have a Swede who is at the top right now. But Alex Norén is also playing very well now, says the 24-year-old in a TV interview with Viasat Golf.
Duplanti’s words
The world’s best pole vaulter has a great interest in golf and enjoys that a Swede is found in the top tier of the biggest competitions.
– I think it’s great fun for Sweden and also for me as a golf fan. It’s fun to cheer on a Swede then, who can be at the top. It’s great fun and it really gives me something extra when I watch the majors, says “Mondo”.

The last time Sweden had a world number one in golf was under the icon Annika Sörenstams heyday, but on the men’s side we have never had a blue-yellow world number one before. Now Duplantis says what everyone is thinking about Ludvig Åberg and how far he can go in golf.
– With Ludvig, you can see that he is the future of golf. He can become the best in the world and play for the biggest titles, Mondo asserts.
