Now “Mondo” opens to compete in a new athletics discipline.
Although many of course hoped for Armand Duplantis in the historic race, so most were sure that Karsten Warholm would win. But then the race started and ten seconds later the huge shock was a fact.
Duplanti’s success
“Mondo” showed the whole world how terribly fast he is and won the super duel in Zurich by a margin. The Swedish pole vault giant crossed the finish line in an impressive 10.37 seconds, beating a new personal best by several tenths and is Sweden’s third fastest man at 100 meters this year.

The Norwegian Warholm also broke a new personal best, but was still as much as a tenth, which is a lot in 100 meters, behind Duplantis. It really says a lot about the Swede’s great display on Wednesday night.
“Mondo’s” promise
After the race, Duplantis also opened up about running again and singled out the relay at Finnkampen as a possibility.
– It has been a dream of mine for a long time to run the last leg in the Swedish relay team in Finnkampen and beat the Swedish record. We just have to solve the right team composition, said Duplantis according to Dagens Nyheter.

The 24-year-old has developed a taste for running and does not rule out that he may run at championships in the future. Now he comes with a promise to compete in a different athletics discipline than the pole vault and 100 meters.
Armand Duplantis would like to try running 60 meters at the European Championships.
– I really like running, so who knows. I have run well in 60 meters. The European Championships would probably be my best chance, says Duplantis at a press conference.
