Armand Duplantis met Zlatan Ibrahimovic ahead of the Milan derby

You are not used to seeing two such big Swedish stars together.
On Sunday evening, Armand Duplantis greeted Zlatan Ibrahimovic at work, ahead of the derby between Inter and Milan.
The giants were seen together in new photos on AC Milan’s Instagram account.

One is Sweden’s best soccer player of all time who won the Golden Ball twelve times and scored 62 goals for the national team, which is the most ever. The other a superior Olympic gold medalist who repeatedly broke the world record in his discipline. Last Sunday got Zlatan Ibrahimovic42, nice visit at work when Armand Duplantis24, came to visit his compatriot.

Star meeting in the arena

It was before the derby between Inter and Milan – a match which the away team eventually won 2-1 after a late decisive goal – that pole vaulter Duplantis appeared at the Milan arena with his girlfriend Desire Inglander23, and the Norwegian hurdler Karsten Warholm28.

On social media, “Mondo” can be seen visiting AC Milan’s club shop before the match, where he, Desiré and Karsten each received a red and black shirt. Duplantis has previously talked about his sympathies for Milan in particular.

– I am so excited about the match tonight. Now we’re driving, he said on AC Milan’s Instagram before the match.

The pictures of the world stars

Before the match started, AC Milan also published pictures and a video of when Duplantis got to meet one of his great role models, Zlatan Ibrahimovic, at San Siro. The latter now has a role as an advisor to the club’s management and he is most often there to watch his Milan play.

In the new pictures, Zlatan and “Mondo” can be seen shaking hands, talking, laughing and even hugging. It must have been a powerful meeting, especially for the 18 years younger Swedish-American who has long looked up to the former national team striker.

Wow, talk about a great Swedish meeting out in the big arenas in Europe. Nice to see Armand Duplantis and Zlatan Ibrahimovic together – two world-class athletes from two different generations.
