Armand Duplantis great shame after the victory Wasted me away

One of the sports world’s brightest stars is Swedish Armand “Mondo” Duplantis. Despite his young age, the pole vaulter has achieved several world records, WC gold and Olympic gold.

On Tuesday, the “Mondo Classic” competition awaited in Uppsala, where the plan was to treat the home crowd to a real show.

However, Duplantis has, during the last two competitions, had less success than expected. Although he won the “Mondo Classic” competition on Tuesday, the star was very unhappy afterwards. The reason? He has failed to clear six meters in two consecutive competitions, for the first time in three years.

– Actually, it wouldn’t be so bad if it hadn’t happened here in Uppsala. Because I really wanted to put on a proper show for them, he said after the competition in SVT’s broadcast.

After the competition, it was an embarrassed star who explained that he made technical mistakes which cost both him and the audience the show he had hoped for.

– As I said, it feels extra difficult because this is happening in Uppsala. You could say I have my excuses for not working. I don’t have that here, but I was the one who tactically removed myself. I felt good, but didn’t jump the heights that I want to do.
