Armand Duplantis had a dream start to the season.
By winning outright in the very first competition.
It also made the girlfriend Desiré Inglander show off the big declaration of love for everyone.
The year 2022 was absolutely incomparably good for Armand Duplantis who won gold in all the major championships he competed in. The Swedish pole vault superstar won outdoor and indoor WC gold, EC outdoor gold, overall victory in the Diamond League and broke triple world records during the year.
Mondo’s success
Recently, the Swede started the new season and had an absolutely perfect dream start to 2023. In his very own competition “Mondo Classic” in Uppsala, the 23-year-old hit 6.10 meters and won the competition in front of a euphoric home crowd.

Duplantis also attempted the world record height of 6.22 m but failed in all three of his attempts. And the hunt for another new world record continues in 2023.
– I feel close. I know if I can use this rod I can clear 6.22. One hundred percent. But it’s not that easy, Mondo told SVT.

Desiré proud
One who is really proud of Duplanti’s season premiere is the girlfriend and partner Desire Inglander. The 21-year-old was there and paid tribute to the boyfriend in a big way on social media, posting several photos and videos on Instagram from Duplanti’s successful night.

“Yesterday, 6.10!”, writes Inglander as a proud girlfriend.
