Armand Duplantis and Desiré Inglander should get married, but do not want to reveal when.
However, they are clear about how they want the wedding to be.
– I like the Swedish style with slightly fewer guests … I don’t want it to be people where I have no idea who they are, he tells Expressen.
It was last fall as the world’s best pole jumpers of all time, Armand Duplantiswent down on a knee on the beach in Hamptons and asked Swedish Desiré Inglander If she wanted to marry him. It all happened during a photography for the fashion magazine Vogue.
Armand Duplanti’s requirements
It has now been several months since the multiple Olympic, World Cup and European gold medalist freed to his current fiancee. They have been reasonably sorry for the upcoming wedding. Desiré has shown her bridesmaids on Instagram, but otherwise she does not want to tell you anything about when or where the big love party should be.
– It will not be exact within a year … but soon. Or, not so soon. I keep it secret for a while, but you will see. Now I will not say more, she tells Expressen.

Armand Duplantis tells the evening newspaper, in conjunction with the athletics gala on January 21, that they want to try to adapt the wedding to his racing season. Probably the ceremony is happening in Europe and so they have some after -party in the United States later. He also knows what he doesn’t want. He has a requirement for the wedding.
– But there is a big difference between American culture and Sweden when it comes to weddings. My brother had over 350 guests at his wedding – but I don’t want that. I like the Swedish style with slightly fewer guests … I don’t want it to be people where I have no idea who they are, he says.
Desiré Inglander’s wedding vision
Together, the couple has painted a dream picture of how they want the wedding, and the after party, to be. Desiré really wants people to remember the party and to go away and be happy.
– It should be an incredibly good party. I want people to leave and feel “wow”, she says.

2024 was really a super year for “Mondo”. In addition to the fact that he got engaged to Desiré Inglander, he also won the European gold in pole jumps in Rome, World Cup gold indoors in Glasgow and an Olympic gold in Paris. In that competition he also beat the Olympic record and the world record. In total, he beat the world record three times last season.
